On an winter afternoon in the USA, we thought to ourselves, "what story will we leave behind one day?”
Finding spaces and retreats that encouraged joy, growth and connection without violating our values, seemed to get harder and harder. From the music they played, games they offered and even things they stood for no longer sat right with us. So we decided to take some time away to build something meaningful that’ll last.
Welcome to Take a Moment Away, a Christian-based social enterprise that reconnects people to what truly matters in life. We curate intimate experiences and retreats that no longer cause you to compromise on what means most to you.

Our Social Mission
One school trip to Spain at 15, opened the eyes to our founder like never before.
She realised how much she loved to dance, the flavours of food she enjoyed, how to budget on holiday and the memories made with friends that would last a lifetime.
Yet not every child is able to experience a new way of looking at life. Recent studies show that 57% of parents can’t afford trips and outings outside school, despite knowing the positive impact they have on their children.
We exist to lessen that gap.
Want want to make cultural and mission-based travel experiences accessible to students and young adults. The hope is to educate the next generation with life skills within a changing world and also support their journey’s with faith, as they learn to serve and embody the Bibles greatest commandment of loving God and others.
